Attorney Chris McHam
Chris McHam graduated from the University of North Texas in 1998. After a few years working in the mortgage industry focusing on debt collection and bankruptcy he headed to Baylor University School of Law. He graduated in 2003 and immediately began practicing family law, criminal defense and business litigation in Arlington, Texas.
In 2005 Chris moved to Austin and began focusing on family law in the Williamson and Travis County areas. After five years of working in a small firm he launched out on his own, forming McHam Law. After practicing family law for over 10 years Chris had amassed the experience and know how necessary to apply to take the test to become Board Specialized in Family Law. In 2014 he was officially recognized as one of the few attorneys in Williamson County that the Texas Board of Legal Specialization considers knowledgeable and experienced enough to be called Board Certified.
In addition to practicing law Chris is a devoted husband and father of three. He has spent years using his passion for his family to help others through the difficult times caused by divorce and custody disputes.
Andrea Porras, Legal Assistant and Immigration Case Worker
Andrea Porras has 10 years of experience in the field of immigration in the city of Miami, Florida. Involved in the community, her main goal is to help immigrants, like her, legalize their status in the United States and be able to contribute to this country and the welfare of their families.
Born in Colombia, South America, she traveled to Austin, Texas 20 years ago as an international exchange student to learn English for a year. She then returned in the year 2000 to United States with her parents and siblings to be installed in the city of Miami, Florida. There she got married and returned to Austin five years ago. Now they have 2 Texas born children.
In 2011 she became an American citizen and her aim still is to be able to help more people legalize their immigration status and with this contribute to the growth of this extraordinary country.

Nacida en Colombia, viajo a Austin, Texas hace 20 años como estudiante internacional a aprender ingles por un año y luego regreso con sus Padres y hermanos en el año 2000 para instalarse del todo en la ciudad de Miami, Florida, donde se caso y con su esposo regreso a Austin hace cinco anos tienen 2 hijos nacidos aquí en Texas. Se hizo ciudadana Americana en el año 2011 y su propósito sigue siendo el poder ayudar a más personas a legalizar su situación migratoria y que con ello contribuyan al crecimiento de este extraordinario país.
